When selecting a summer camp session for your Girl Scout, please use the grade level that she will be entering next fall. For example, if she is in second grade now, you can register her for camp sessions that include third graders. Special circumstances are considered on a case-by-case basis for girls to move up or down one grade level. Most often, this is due to special needs or siblings attending a session together.
Grade Levels & Registration Clarification
If a camp session is for Girl Scout Cadettes – Ambassadors, you’ll notice in the event details under “level” it reads Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors, AND Juniors. The reason registration for that session is also open to Juniors is because girls who will be Cadettes at the time they attend camp are currently Juniors.
Example: If Carly is in fifth grade now, she is a Girl Scout Junior, and will be moving or “bridging” to the next level, a Girl Scout Cadette, at the end of the school year. This means that Carly’s caregiver should search for camp sessions that are open to Girl Scout Juniors.
